Brea, CA – Radiometer America announced today it has received authorization for the ABL90 Flex Series Version 3.x_AI by the Cybersecurity Logistics (CyberLOG) branch of the Defense Health Agency (DHA) Medical Logistics division.
“This Access and Incorporate (A&I) approval for Radiometer America is now recognized across all DHA-supported facilities through 2025, and it further demonstrates our company’s commitment to manufacturing state-of-the-art blood gas products equipped to address the cyber hygiene demands of today’s healthcare industry,” said Kurt Hoffman, Sr. Manager National Accounts for Radiometer America.
The Cybersecurity Logistics (CyberLOG) branch, assigned to the DHA Medical Logistics, Health Technology Management (MEDLOG HTM) division is responsible for conducting the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process, and the centralized oversight of continuous monitoring activities.
This authorization indicates Radiometer America’s commitment to cybersecurity and point-of- care testing. Radiometer America’s ABL90 FLEX PLUS blood gas analyzer is designed for point- of-care testing in busy clinical environments, such as the Emergency Department, Intensive Care Unit, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Operating Room, etc., where fast results from a very small blood sample are vitally important to make critical diagnostic decisions.
“As a team, Radiometer America worked tirelessly to collaborate and build trust with the Defense Health Agency. We see this recent approval as a great outcome of that partnership. Once both parties were aligned, our ABL90 FLEX PLUS and its panel of 17 parameters carried us over the finish line,” said Tom MacFarlane, Senior General Manager for Radiometer America.
The Defense Health Agency authorization provides Radiometer America clearance with CyberLOG until July 2025.
